Whether itβs a traditional black tie affair or a more casual summer wedding, we work with brides, grooms, groomsmen, groomswomen, bridegrooms, and LGBTQ+ weddings to craft something perfect down to the last detail.
We make rehearsal dinner outfits too. Check out a small sample of the bridal suits and wedding that we have made below.

I adore working with clients to make their custom wedding outfits a reality. Sometimes we even get invited to the nuptials. In this photo, my husband and I are in Puglia in our custom Watson Ellis wedding guest attire. Mine, a tangerine 2 piece linen suit with a cropped jacket and his, a warm brown textured menβs two piece suit with unconstructed shoulders (perfect for Italy) and patch pockets. We felt utterly ourselves while attending this spectacular wedding.

OUR PROCESS
-
Step 1: Optional Phone Consultation
You have the option of booking a βquick and free phone consultationβ or a βfabric viewing appointment,β both of which are non-committal and allow you to browse and ask any questions you might have before getting fitted.
-
step 2: The First Fitting & Design
This is where we really get into it. Before the fitting we will discuss your fit needs, style preferences, and how you want to present, as well as browse swatches. We will then proceed with your fitting, pinning and tucking our way toward fit perfection! Finally we will discuss all the other design detailsβlinings, buttons, contrast colors, lapels etc. This one-on-one session will take approximately 2 hours.
-
step 3: The Second Fitting
4-6 weeks later we will meet again for a second fitting in your newly made custom wedding suit! (Note: if you choose to go with full bespoke there are more steps in between!). In this session we will make sure the garment/s fit exactly as we had planned. If we think some minor alterations still need to be made, no problemβit will only take 7-10 days from the date of your second fitting to make these changes.
-
Step 4: The Final Look
If alterations have been made then weβll meet one last time for our team to hand over your garment/s and have a final look before you take everything home!
Casual Wedding Attire
Weather its a summer wedding in the city or a beach wedding in January casual wedding suits and attire might just be our favorite kind of wedding attire. Whether it's a loosely woven soft beige linen suit or a breathable cotton bamboo blend tan wedding suit we love the casual look and offer a wide range of options suited to it.
Looking for a Classic Custom Black Tuxedo?
We've got you covered with the best range of fabric options for all kinds of subtly textured or patterned black tuxedo fabric, as well as white and royal blue tuxedos, as well as everything in between.
Ivory and White Wedding Tuxedo or Suit
The white option is so in right now and we're absolutely loving it. Some of the wedding suits that we have been most proud of in recent years have been of the white varietals. See so and so's white tuxedo here and ....'s more flowy and untraditional custom suit here for just a few examples.

Wedding FAQs
-
We strongly recommend coming in at the very least 3 months before your nuptials, however in some cases, (ex. a bespoke fitting or original design) we require 6 months.
-
We take payment in full at the first fitting. The fabric is purchased as soon as your order goes in. Our work starts at the very first appointment.
-
Cost completely depends on the fabric and style you want including the level of attention you will need. For example an original design is more costly than bespoke or true custom. Not to worry however! We will give you price quotes and options before we commence the fitting.
-
If you can think of it, we can make it. If you have specific ideas please come with photos! If not, we will talk you through our many choices.

The environmental footprint of fast fashion is truly staggering. To throw just a few jaw-dropping stats at you: the global fashion industry (made up by and large by fast fashion) accounts for more than 10% of global pollution. Clothing disposal is the fastest growing waste industry on the planet. Custom fashion, like that which we create at WATSON ELLIS, on the other hand, is sustainable. That means you can feel good in your custom garments not only because you look great, but also because you are quite literally doing a good planetary deed. These garments are singular. There is no inventory waste in the process of making them. The footprint of our factory, which employs a select workforce of highly skilled tailors in excellent conditions, is minimal.
-
We take lots of care to fit your wedding garment as close to your wedding date as possible. If you are planning on a major change, we highly suggest going with the bespoke process, which includes the muslin fitting (test garment) before the real suit gets made. This is helpful for many reasons but in the case of a wedding it means we get closer to the wearing date before making the final piece. (sometimes two muslinβs can be in order!)
-
We do not offer lifetime adjustments. Alterations are included when your suit first comes in up until the final fitting. Any alterations for future weight fluctuation can be done for you at current market rates. That being said, we will fit the suit to the body you have right now to perfection. And before making a second or third suit, we will of course check the fit of your previous WE suits and make any necessary updates to your pattern.
What to Wear to a Fall Wedding?
Well, there are a few options to peruse for Fall weddings. A suit for an early fall wedding can really be a four season fabric. So a classic luxurious Loro Piana blue nailhead is just the ticket. When you get into later fall we LOVE a textured wool or flannel suit.
