Your Online Custom Shirt Experience
As we wrote in a previous post, we've recently started to offer clients an online custom shirting experience in light of this 'new normal' we're all living in. In this post, we thought we'd just run you through how that process works, in the hope of making it less daunting and more seamless for prospective clients.
Select a Custom Shirt Fabric
First off, we ask you to browse and select a fabric from our expansive collection that has been gathered under easy-to-navigate sub-categories including 'Stripes', 'Solids', 'Anti-wrinkle', 'Checks & plaids'.
Once you hit a sub-category you will be taken to the next page which allows you to see all the fabrics in that category, browse according to price, and read all about fabric qualities, patterns and weaves.
Online Custom Shirt Design Options
OK, so you have selected a fabric. Next, you will be taken to what we are calling our 'Online Design Options' form where you will select different design aspects of your custom shirt from an easy-to-navigate and well-explained multiple choice menu.
Once you have finished selecting your design options, your new custom shirt will be added to your cart. You will then be given the option to keep shopping or to check out. It's at this moment that you should probably keep in mind that we offer a special discount when you buy four shirts or more ;)
Virtual Fittings for Custom Shirts
Once you finally do arrive at the check out station. you'll go through all the usual steps for checking out online. CRUCIAL: What's different about our online check out process is that you will also be cued to book a 'virtual fitting appointment' for a time that's convenient for you. This is a crucial part of the custom shirt process, obviously. You have been through the design process, picking your fabrics, button, pocket and placket types, etc., but now it's time to get fitted.
HOW DO OUR VIRTUAL FITTINGS WORK? In short, these appointments take the form of a zoom fitting session with our head fit specialist and founder, Melissa Watson Ellis. We've done several so far and it's worked beautifully. Melissa has a full proof methodology for how to make this a seamless and simple process that's almost as enjoyable as the real thing ;). In most cases, once the virtual fittings are complete we will make you a test shirt to ensure that the measurements and fit are bang on. From there your shirt will go into production and be delivered to your door within three weeks.
At Watson Ellis, we're constantly striving to perfect everything we do, and right now that means perfecting our online fitting and design service for custom shirts. Nothing fits you like a custom shirt. We know that a lot of you are not wearing suits right now. We get it. But comfortable, well-fitted custom shirts remain essential for the work-from-home. We are confident in our ability to offer the best quality custom shirts on the market. We're looking forward to working with you!
